Louise Walters – Violin

Louise started playing the violin at the age of 8. She studied music at Goldsmiths’ College, University of London and is now a violinist and teacher based in South East London. Louise plays regularly for Keld Ensemble, Westminster Philharmonic Orchestra, Surrey Opera and various choral societies. She enjoys a wide variety of musical styles and also sings and plays piano and flute. Louise founded Stellato Strings in 2010.

Elsa Tatevossian – Violin

Elsa has been playing the violin since the age of 7, which is longer than she would care to admit now! Her orchestral and chamber music experience spans 25 years. Orchestral experience includes National Children’s Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra of Wales, Oxford University Orchestra, Oxford Sinfonietta, Helios Orchestra of Oxford, Sinfonia Cymru and most recently Westminster Philharmonic Orchestra where the members of this quartet met.  Chamber highlights include recitals for St Peter’s College Music Society and coaching from the Allegri and Chilingirian Quartets whilst a member of the Calliope Quartet at Oxford University.

Julie Walker – Viola

Julie comes from the North of England, where she was greatly involved with the Grimsby and Cleethorpes District Youth Orchestras as principal violist.  She went on to study music at Colchester Institute, and continued viola lessons as a post graduate pupil of John White.  Julie has had much experience as an ensemble player, with concert tours taking her as far as India and Bermuda.  Now based in Essex, she is a freelance viola player and upper strings teacher.

Rebecca Sackman-Smith – Cello

Rebecca was born in London and began learning cello and piano at an early age. She later studied cello at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Music at the University of Nottingham. Rebecca works in the classical music industry – currently programming for the BBC Symphony Orchestra – in addition to cello playing and teaching.
